Author Talk at Mary Davies Library & Community Centre – Baldivis

Mary Davies Library – Baldivis, WA

April 11, 2026

My Mary Davies Library Author Talk in Baldivis, was a wonderful opportunity to speak about my two books Caught between two Worlds and Wired not Weird. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed. The library had created beautiful displays of both books in separate glass cabinets in the foyer — something I will always treasure.

The session was attended by 28 people and became a wonderfully warm and interactive conversation. Rather than simply speaking at an audience, I love encouraging people to share their own thoughts and experiences. Much of our discussion centred around spiritual awakening, and it was beautiful to see people feeling safe enough to talk openly about experiences they may previously have been hesitant to share. There was a real sense of community and reassurance in discovering they were not alone.

The talk was originally scheduled for 90 minutes, but the audience encouraged me to continue for another 45 minutes. There were plenty of conversations afterwards, along with books being purchased, personally signed and inscribed.

The event was so well received that the Mary Davies Library & Community Centre has invited me to return on Saturday 10 October 2026 for another special session to conclude their Mental Health Week program — an invitation I am very much looking forward to.

“Marion Weatherburn is an excellent choice for libraries seeking an engaging, thoughtful, and community-minded speaker.”

Public invitation from the Mary Davies Library & Community Centre for my Author Talk

The Mary Davies Library & Community Centre created some beautiful displays of my books and Author’s writing paraphanalia in glass cabinets in the foyer, complete with flowers. I was completely overcome by the beauty and care they displayed in bringing this together.

I love giving Author talks so much!

Thank you for the beautiful display Sarah and the Team at the Mary Davies Library & Community Centre. I look forward to seeing you 10 October 2026.

One of the things I love most about giving Author Talks is YOU! I love listening to all your stories about everything you have gone through. Everyone has a story and your story IS important to me.

Once Upon a Time, not that long ago, I would have been all alone feeling ‘Weird’ in my Weirdness….now I’m ‘Wired’ and connected to so many of you and we are all connected – Finally! Our world is a much nicer place because YOU are in it.
